Backwater - a video production and digital media company
The Brief
To create a youthful brand for them which portrayed quality and professionalism, but set them apart from soho-esque production companies.
The Process
There were many different concepts bounced around and it took a while to hone in on exactly what the client were looking for. Dealing with 4 directors who are each very creative people, it had the danger to slip into a design by comittee situation. Realising that they wanted something very clean and simple, yet narrative and deep i came up with this concept.
The stag, which reflects ideas of prestige and quality in a 'backwater' urban environment. All silhouettes to retain simplicity, combined with very clear ypography for the logo, with just a little bit of extension on the K for it to resemble a 'skip back' button.
